This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being close to the manufacturing floor, investigating quality issues, developing practical solutions, and using data to improve how products and processes perform. A key part of this role will be helping develop and strengthen quality processes, including creating documentation, establishing quality control procedures, investigating defects and rework, and working directly with customers when quality concerns arise. Candidates with fewer than five years of experience are encouraged to apply if they have strong hands-on manufacturing quality and analytical experience. What You'll Do Perform and support quality control checks and inspections throughout manufacturing operations Investigate product defects, rework, non-conforming material, and other quality concerns Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, checklists, work instructions, inspection requirements, and related documentation Develop and implement new quality processes from the ground up as manufacturing needs evolve Partner directly with manufacturing teams to identify and resolve quality and process issues Support customer quality concerns, including participating in customer visits and on-site investigations when necessary Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel Pull and combine data from multiple systems and platforms for analysis and reporting Use Excel tools such as pivot tables, formulas, lookups, charts, and data analysis functions Develop and monitor quality and operational KPIs Evaluate manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, fabrication, and assembly methods Identify opportunities to reduce defects, rework, waste, cost, and lead times Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operations Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and other teams to implement sustainable improvements Assist with audits, inspections, corrective actions, and other quality initiatives as needed What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar experience Hands-on experience investigating manufacturing defects, rework, or non-conforming product Experience performing or developing quality control checks and inspection processes Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Experience creating quality documentation, procedures, SOPs, work instructions, inspection plans, or similar documentation Ability to develop and implement new processes rather than only work within established systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience using Power BI for reporting, dashboards, or data analysis preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and working with large data sets Ability to collect and analyze information from multiple systems or data sources Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with manufacturing employees, leadership, and customers Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment Ability to travel locally or to customer locations as needed Additional Experience That Is Helpful Experience with any of the following is a plus: 8D CAPA NCR/non-conformance processes 5 Why or Fishbone analysis
