Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description
Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) - Data Centres / Mission-Critical Infrastructure We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support the delivery of major mission-critical infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and project teams to ensure that products and systems meet the required quality, compliance, reliability and performance standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. The role will focus on managing supplier quality, conducting inspections and audits, supporting factory acceptance testing, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities Manage supplier quality performance across manufacturing partners and critical equipment suppliers. Conduct supplier audits, quality assessments and factory inspections. Lead root-cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Support supplier development, performance improvement and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing and project teams to resolve quality issues. Ensure suppliers meet project specifications, engineering requirements and applicable quality standards. Core Duties Develop and maintain quality documentation, inspection plans and process controls. Monitor supplier KPIs, quality metrics and non-conformance reports. Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and product validation activities. Review manufacturing processes and verify compliance with project and engineering requirements. Prepare quality reports and communicate project status, risks and corrective actions to key stakeholders. Track supplier quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out. Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation to verify compliance. Required Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Assurance or a related engineering discipline. Experience working with complex engineered products, equipment or industrial systems. Strong knowledge of supplier audits, quality management systems and structured problem-solving methodologies. Experience managing supplier quality issues and driving corrective actions through to resolution. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation. Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills. Experience working collaboratively with engineering, procurement, manufacturing and project delivery teams. ES2
