X-ray Windows Process Engineer

Job Summary:

Support thin films, photolithography and other related processes in the X-Ray Windows fab.

Essential Functions:

Ensure that production thin films and photolithography processes run safely and efficiently. Support related metrology as needed. Identify and correct process related yield issues through root cause analysis. Specify, select and qualify new equipment for production use. Create and maintain operating procedures, control plans, FMEA's and other documentation. Write, improve and maintain process recipes. Optimize tool capacity. Implement, improve and support SPC monitoring for processes. Perform, analyze and implement results of Design of Experiments (DOE) to characterize processes. Train production operators on operating procedures. Provide sustaining support for multiple product lines, including non-standard orders.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors of Science in engineering, physics or materials science. 3+ years working experience with photolithography, evaporation and sputter tools. Experience and knowledge of semiconductor or MEMS processing techniques. Experience working in a clean room . Knowledge of other processes such as diffusion and etch is advantageous.

Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software is required; proficiency in other programming and scripting languages is a plus. Design of Experiments (DOE), data analysis techniques. Ability to oversee multiple projects at one time. Self-starter and able to work with minimal guidance. Analytical and problem solving skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work on a team with engineering, production and maintenance personnel.
