RESPONSIBLITIES
Product support to Manufacturing (40%) Communicate daily with manufacturing line foremen and superintendents to ensure that any design issues are addressed using established processes (e.g Deviation processes) Understand typical challenges experienced by assemblers and proactively find solutions to those issues. Establish and implement standard processes to improve manufacturing. Support manufacturing engineers from engineering side to assist them with template and fixture design Participating in Prototype builds and resolving issues on line Design and Engineering Standardization (30%) Understand customer requirements and suggest design improvements. Create standards and roll them out to rest of the org Coaching and development (30%) Coach less experienced engineers and guide them to execute their tasks Participate in 3P, Kaizen and other department activities.
Qualifications Minimum Experience:
Minimum 7+ year's recent experience in the manufacturing industry with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, 5+ year's recent experience in the manufacturing industry with a Master's Degree in Engineering. Detailed, motivated, self-starter; must be able to work independently and lead in a team environment. Flexibility to work 2nd shift 1 week per month.
Preferred Qualifications:
Design:
background in design and engineering of mission critical facilities. Skill in calculations for electrical construction
Build:
interest in the manufacture of modular builds for electrical construction
Software:
Revit MEP, Navisworks, Bluebeam, MS Office, ETAP/SKM, AGI32 are highly preferred
Abilities:
Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time. Sitting for extended periods of time. Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction. Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Identify and understand the speech of another person.
