Job Description

Job Title:
Packaging Machine Operator / Maintenance Mechanic Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Packaging Machine Operator / Maintenance Mechanic with hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting bottle packaging lines within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, supplement, or food manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and experience with equipment setup, repairs, disassembly, and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities Operate, set up, adjust, and troubleshoot bottle packaging line equipment. Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on packaging machinery. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime. Perform equipment disassembly, assembly, changeovers, and setup. Inspect machinery and identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components. Support bottle packaging lines including filling, capping, labeling, induction sealing, and related equipment. Perform equipment adjustments and ensure machines operate safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate maintenance and production documentation in accordance with SOPs and GMP requirements. Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to support continuous and reliable operations. Follow all company safety, quality, GMP, and SOP requirements. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance of bottle packaging lines, including troubleshooting, repairs, setup, disassembly, and assembly. 2+ years of experience in a maintenance mechanic role within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, nutritional supplements, food, or related manufacturing industry. Hands-on experience with bottle packaging equipment and automated packaging systems. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and SOPs. Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment changeovers preferred. Knowledge of GMP/cGMP and workplace safety requirements preferred. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Production and Maintenance teams. Preferred Experience Oral Solid Dose (OSD) or pharmaceutical bottle packaging experience. Experience with high-speed automated bottle packaging lines. Experience troubleshooting conveyors, fillers, cappers, labelers, sealers, and related packaging equipment.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
