Opportunity:

PrimeStaff Services is partnering with Dover Food Retail (DFR) to identify multiple experienced Industrial Engineers for an immediate, high-visibility manufacturing and operations initiative at DFR's Richmond, Virginia facility. These are approximately 3-4 month contract assignments supporting several critical manufacturing improvement and facility consolidation projects. The Industrial Engineers will work directly within the operation to evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical solutions involving manufacturing flow, material movement, facility/layout planning, workforce requirements and overall productivity. For qualified candidates outside the Richmond area who are able to temporarily work onsite, travel and lodging expenses may be provided. What You'll Be Working On In this role, you may support projects involving: Analyze manufacturing processes, workflows and production operations to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput and productivity. Evaluate material flow and supply chain movement throughout manufacturing operations and recommend improvements. Support the consolidation and transfer of manufacturing operations into the Richmond facility , including production-line and equipment planning. Develop or improve facility, equipment and production layouts to optimize space, workflow and manufacturing efficiency. Evaluate production flow and identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints and process inefficiencies . Conduct Industrial Engineering studies including time studies, work measurement, line balancing and productivity analysis . Analyze manpower and workforce requirements and assist with developing more effective staffing and resource plans. Develop and improve standard processes and manufacturing workflows. Analyze production, labor and material requirements to support operational decision-making. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to implement practical improvements. Support Lean, Six Sigma and continuous-improvement initiatives as appropriate. These responsibilities align closely with DFR's original emphasis on layout development, process and line flow, manpower requirements, workflow/resource planning and productivity improvement. What We're Looking For We are interested in experienced engineering professionals who can step into a manufacturing environment, quickly understand the operation, identify problems and help implement solutions.

Ideal candidates will bring:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another related engineering/technical discipline. Experience within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment . Industrial Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience involving areas such as process improvement, production flow, material flow, facility/layout planning, productivity or workforce optimization. Experience with one or more of the following: Facility or plant layouts Material flow Production-line design or optimization Time studies/work measurement Line balancing Capacity analysis Workforce/manpower planning Standard work Bottleneck analysis Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating across manufacturing and operations teams. Ability to quickly assess an operation and translate findings into practical, actionable improvements. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is beneficial but not required in every candidate : Manufacturing facility consolidations, relocations or production-line transfers Plant startups or major equipment/production moves Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

CAD / 3D

modeling SolidWorks PLM systems such as Enovia Customized or fast-paced manufacturing environments Capital projects or equipment justification DFR's written description identifies manufacturing process design and Lean/Six Sigma as preferred and includes 3D CAD/PLM, SolidWorks and Enovia among its desired fit criteria.
