Full Job Description Hair Transplant Technician:
FUE/DHIPer Diem | Melbourne & Tampa Bay, Florida . Seeking experienced Hair Transplant Technicians to provide per-diem procedural support for scheduled hair transplant cases at our Florida locations.
This is a case-based, per-diem position for technicians with established hands-on experience in both FUE and DHI hair transplantation. Technicians will work alongside the medical provider throughout the surgical day and should be comfortable functioning independently within an established hair transplant workflow.
Candidates should reside within reasonable traveling distance of either the Melbourne or Tampa Bay location and be available for scheduled surgical cases with advance notice. Responsibilities Prepare the procedure room, surgical equipment, instruments, supplies, and graft-holding solutions prior to each case. Greet and prepare patients for procedure, obtain vital signs, and assist with photographing. Wash and shave donor and/or recipient areas as directed by the provider. Assist the provider during FUE extraction. Clean, inspect, count, and sort follicular unit grafts while maintaining accurate graft counts throughout the procedure. Maintain appropriate graft hydration, storage, organization, and handling to protect graft integrity. Load follicular unit grafts into Choi-style DHI implanter pens accurately and quickly, and/or graft implantation into pre-made recipient sites as directed by the provider. Maintain organization and continuous flow between extraction, graft preparation, loading, and implanting phases. Anticipate procedural needs and work efficiently with the provider and other technicians. Maintain sterile/aseptic technique at all times and assist with infection-control practices throughout the procedure. Assist with room turnover and equipment cleaning after each case. Maintain accurate documentation of graft counts and other assigned forms. Follow established clinical protocols and provider direction while maintaining patient safety and graft integrity at all times. Required Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on hair transplant technician experience. Hands-on experience with both FUE and DHI hair transplantation required. Demonstrated proficiency in graft cleaning, counting, sorting, hydration, handling, and preservation. Demonstrated proficiency loading Choi-style implanter pens. Experience assisting with FUE extraction. Experience assisting with DHI implantation and/or implantation into pre-made recipient sites. Strong understanding of graft anatomy and ability to accurately identify and sort single and multi-hair grafts as well as determine graft viability. Ability to maintain speed, accuracy, and attention to detail throughout procedures lasting approximately 8+ hours. Ability to work effectively as part of a coordinated surgical team and follow the direction of the treating provider. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to scheduled cases at the applicable Florida location. Ability to work on a per-diem, case-based schedule with advance notice.
