Job Title:
Mechanical Technician Job Description Serve as a technical expert for mechanical systems on prototype platforms, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities Perform service, assembly, and maintenance on all mechanical systems, addressing issues promptly. Maintain a systematic approach to identifying symptoms, determining exact issues, and moving to correct these issues in a way that is able to be documented and repeated. Provide input to service and maintenance documentation following standard processes, contributing to accurate and effective materials for customer use. Essential Skills 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems, working with diesel engines Experience working on any type of vehicle, including but not limited to cars, trucks, buses, airplanes, boats, etc. Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical systems. Familiarity with technical documentation and reporting standards. Ability to perform in high-tempo environments, balancing multiple priorities efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and technical teams. A hands-on, problem-solving approach with the ability to adapt to dynamic operational environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with assembly, hand tools, power tools, marine engines, diesel engines, blueprints, soldering, production, mechanical assembly, and schematics. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work the first shift from 5am to 3:15pm, Monday through Thursday, in a modern facility that opened several years ago. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
