Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment within our industrial facility. This role is vital to ensuring optimal operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of production systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, and electrical diagnostics, with a strong focus on precision and safety standards. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics. Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components utilizing electrical and hydraulic diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters, and low voltage testers. Diagnose electrical systems including control panels, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical blueprint reading, and wiring diagrams to identify faults and implement effective solutions. Conduct welding tasks using stick welding techniques to repair or fabricate parts as needed. Operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas for maintenance or repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking equipment history and scheduling future work. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret schematics and troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently. Support technical sales by providing expertise on equipment specifications and repair capabilities when required. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to electrical systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and general industrial maintenance practices. Assist in training team members on new procedures or equipment operation to promote continuous improvement. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, industrial electrician skills, and troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical diagnostics tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters. Skilled in welding techniques including stick welding for fabrication or repair tasks. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management and documentation. Ability to analyze complex mechanical issues quickly and develop effective solutions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly across diverse teams. Valid certification or experience operating scissor lifts safely in an industrial environment. Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus but not required.
