Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of mechanical equipment and piping systems in an industrial or R D environment. This individual will work directly with piping, tubing, valves, fittings, pumps, mechanical assemblies, and related equipment, with a strong emphasis on identifying leaks, troubleshooting leak sources, and implementing leak-prevention solutions. Responsibilities will include assembling and modifying piping and tubing systems, installing and replacing valves and fittings, performing leak checks, troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, supporting equipment installation and repairs, and working from mechanical drawings, schematics, and written procedures. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with their hands, and has experience diagnosing problems in piping or fluid systems rather than simply performing routine maintenance. This person should be able to identify potential failure points, determine the cause of leaks or equipment issues, and make the appropriate mechanical repairs or modifications to improve system reliability. Salary will range from 70-85K.
