Hair Transplant Surgical Technician — Per Diem /

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of hair transplant experience We are seeking an experienced Hair Transplant Surgical Technician to join our growing hair restoration practice on a per diem / contract basis. We are actively scheduling an increasing number of hair transplant procedures and are looking to develop a reliable, experienced surgical team with the potential for a long-term relationship. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of direct hair transplant surgical experience , preferably with both FUE and FUT , although extensive FUE-only experience will also be considered. Primary Responsibilities The technician will work directly with the hair transplant surgeon and other surgical team members during FUE and/or FUT procedures.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting the surgeon throughout hair transplant procedures Extraction/removal of follicular units after the surgeon has scored/punched the grafts Handling, sorting, counting, inspecting, and maintaining graft quality Proper graft hydration and storage Loading grafts into implanter devices Implantation/planting of grafts into recipient sites created by the surgeon Assisting with donor and recipient area preparation Maintaining sterile technique and an organized surgical field Monitoring graft counts and communicating efficiently with the surgical team Assisting with setup, turnover, and procedural workflow Helping maintain appropriate documentation related to graft counts and surgical procedures Technicians will NOT be responsible for independently scoring/punching FUE grafts or creating recipient-site slits. These portions of the procedure are performed by the surgeon. Local Technicians (DFW area) will be given highest priority Implanter Experience — Strongly Preferred High priority will be given to technicians who are experienced with implanter devices and are comfortable both loading and implanting grafts using implanter pens. Experience with systems such as Choi, Lion, KEEP, or similar implanters is highly desirable. Technicians who are otherwise highly experienced but do not currently have significant implanter experience may still be considered; however, they must be willing and able to become proficient with implanter-based placement as part of our surgical workflow. Preferred Additional Skill Experience as a phlebotomist is strongly preferred and will be given additional consideration, particularly for technicians who can independently perform blood draws for PRP preparation and related procedures .

Qualifications Candidates should have:

Minimum 5 years of hair transplant surgical experience Significant experience with FUE , with FUT experience preferred Strong graft-handling and extraction skills Experience with graft placement/implantation Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent graft quality Familiarity with large FUE cases and high graft counts Excellent attention to detail Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work within a physician-directed surgical team Professionalism and reliability Willingness to commit to scheduled surgical dates Flexibility for cases of varying duration and graft numbers Surgical Team Structure Most procedures will involve approximately: 2-3 experienced hair transplant technicians +/- 1 medical assistant + hair transplant surgeon Technicians should be comfortable working collaboratively within a team-based surgical environment. Compensation Compensation is negotiable and may be structured in several ways depending on experience and responsibilities, including: Per diem / per procedure Per graft Compensation based on graft-count ranges Other mutually agreed contract arrangements Compensation will reflect experience, technical ability, efficiency, implanter proficiency, and additional skills such as phlebotomy. Long-Term Opportunity This position will initially be offered on a per diem / contract basis . Because our hair transplant schedule continues to grow, we are especially interested in technicians looking for a long-term professional relationship . Exceptional technicians may eventually be considered for a regular part-time or permanent position based on procedural volume, performance, reliability, and overall fit with the surgical team. Ideal Candidate Our ideal technician is someone who: Takes pride in graft quality and survival Works efficiently without sacrificing precision Is comfortable with high-volume FUE cases Understands the importance of angle, direction, depth, and graft handling during implantation Is experienced with or enthusiastic about implanter-based placement Is dependable and interested in becoming part of a consistent surgical team rather than working only occasional isolated cases Experienced traveling/freelance hair transplant technicians may also be considered.
