Manufacturing Engineer - Process Development A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Process Development to support the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, and assembly systems. This position will play a key role in new product and process launches, equipment implementation, tooling and fixture development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a day-shift position with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and very limited overtime .

Assistance may be considered on a case-by-case basis Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and assembly operations. Support and lead new product and process launches from development through full-scale production. Design assembly stations, fixtures, tooling, and equipment using CAD and 3D modeling software. Create engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Coordinate with equipment builders and suppliers on design, timelines, installation, and commissioning. Perform equipment pre-acceptance and final acceptance activities. Develop and maintain PFMEAs, standardized work instructions, setup documentation, and process controls . Perform process capability studies and Gage R&R analyses using Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical tools. Support prototype builds and transition new products into repeatable production. Develop cost, labor, cycle-time, and production-rate estimates for new manufacturing processes. Support the development of control plans and quality documentation. Analyze manufacturing data and identify opportunities to improve quality, throughput, cycle time, scrap, and equipment performance . Manage capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects within established budgets. Support the design and implementation of test equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, process, automation, and equipment-related issues. Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production, and other manufacturing teams. Support process audits and compliance with applicable quality and manufacturing standards. Manage multiple engineering projects and priorities simultaneously. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline required. 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, automation, or process development preferred. Experience supporting new product launches, production-line development, or equipment implementation preferred. Strong CAD and 3D modeling experience; experience with major CAD platforms is preferred. Experience designing tooling, fixtures, assembly stations, or manufacturing equipment . Knowledge of PFMEA, Gage R&R, process capability, control plans, and continuous improvement methods . Exposure to automation, controls, electrical systems, and equipment troubleshooting is a plus. Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and acceptance activities preferred. Strong analytical, project-management, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams.
