$68/hour PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a world-leading aerospace organization to hire an experienced Cabin Design Engineer to support the development and customization of aircraft cabin and cargo interior systems. In this role, you will contribute to the full lifecycle of cabin interior engineering—from early concept development through final installation—while supporting airline operators with technical expertise to ensure safe, efficient, and high-performing aircraft interiors. What You'll Do Cabin Design & Engineering Development Independently develop routine to moderately complex cabin and cargo interior design solutions Perform detailed part design, layout maturation, trade studies, certification support, and in-service engineering tasks Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation using Airbus engineering tools and systems Deliver high-quality engineering drawings, reports, and technical presentations with minimal supervision Support integration of cabin interior components from concept through final installation Collaboration & Technical Execution Work closely with Airbus engineering departments to develop optimized cabin and cargo interior solutions Interpret a wide range of technical aircraft data and engineering requirements Participate in functional and technical design tasks under general direction Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams to achieve project goals Provide engineering support to airline customers for in-service aircraft operations Project Ownership & Communication Manage assigned objectives and independently define tasks required to meet deadlines Communicate technical solutions, design decisions, and project updates clearly and effectively Support mentoring and knowledge sharing within assigned engineering discipline Contribute to improving design practices and engineering efficiency Required Qualifications Education Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or related field Experience Minimum 6+ years of experience in: Aircraft cabin interior design, or Cargo equipment design, or Aircraft system installation projects Skills & Competencies Strong ability to interpret complex technical aircraft documentation Proficiency in engineering design, analysis, and integration processes Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to collaborate and influence diverse, international engineering teams Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Work Environment & Physical Requirements 100% onsite role Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, reports, and technical documentation daily Ability to sit for extended periods while working on computer-based engineering tasks Ability to stand, walk, and participate in office and production discussions as needed Ability to use standard office equipment and engineering tools Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs occasionally Ability to travel independently on short notice when required Ready to Design the Future of Flight?
