Job Description

Job Description About The Role The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for Integration & Assembly owns all manufacturing processes downstream of the completed chassis frame — including busway installation, chilled water header fabrication and installation, fire suppression piping, smoke detection wiring, lighting, and roof panel installation. You design the integration assembly line, write the work instructions, set the quality standards, and drive throughput from painted frame to finished module ready to ship. Responsibilities Process Ownership
  • Own all integration assembly process standards: busway routing and installation, chilled water header fit-up and pressure testing, fire suppression piping, electrical rough-in, smoke detection and lighting installation, and roof panel attachment.
  • Design integration work instructions with clear station-by-station task sequencing, torque specs, pressure test criteria, and in-process inspection checkpoints.
  • Establish the integration quality plan: pressure test acceptance criteria, electrical continuity verification, dimensional checks, and final acceptance checklist.
  • Own the integration
BOM:
maintain part-to-work-instruction traceability; reflect BOM changes in work instructions within 48 hours of approval. Line Performance
  • Own integration takt time analysis: measure cycle time at each station, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
  • Lead root-cause analysis on integration defects: pressure test failures, nonconformances, missing components, and rework.
  • Identify opportunities for pre-fabrication and sub-assembly to reduce on-chassis cycle time. Technical Standards
  • Own the pressure test program for all fluid-carrying systems.
  • Ensure NFPA 13 and NFPA 72 installation standards are reflected in work instructions and inspection criteria.
  • Maintain torque control program: specifications, calibrated tool assignments, and traceability records.
