Manufacturing Excellence Engineer Location:

Mesa, Arizona / Hybrid as required

Employment Type:

Full-time The Manufacturing Excellent Engineer will lead manufacturing engineering activities with contract manufacturers to establish repeatable, scalable, and capable production processes for power electronics and related products. This role supports the full product lifecycle—from prototype and pilot builds through production ramp and continuous improvement—by developing assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, testing methods, and manufacturing documentation. Key responsibilities Develop manufacturing processes Create manufacturing work instructions Lead Process FMEAs Develop assembly fixtures Validate manufacturing processes Improve First Pass Yield Support new product introduction (NPI) Manage end-of-line testing Reduce manufacturing cost Improve factory productivity Develop manufacturing documentation Support process validation Analyze production issues Improve cycle time Reduce defects Support operator training Implement engineering changes Develop tooling Support pilot builds Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years progressive manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment. Hands-on experience developing and improving assembly processes for power electronics. Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value-stream improvement, and waste reduction. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting process development, NPI, process validation, tooling, work instructions, and production improvement. They should have hands-on experience with power electronics, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process troubleshooting, operator training, and first-pass-yield improvement.
