full-time Akkodis is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a Direct Hire job with a client in Irvine

CA 92606

. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the system engineering development processes, such as ARP 4754 or IEEE 632 and Aerospace industry.

Salary Range:

$140,000 - $180,000 Per Annum with benefits (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors). Role Summary Lead systems engineering activities for next-generation military and commercial aircraft, covering requirements, system design, integration, verification, validation, qualification, and lifecycle support. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage system requirements, interfaces, architecture, and traceability. Plan and execute system verification, validation, testing, and qualification. Perform trade studies, impact analysis, modeling, and failure analysis. Review customer specifications and ensure regulatory and industry compliance. Support new product development, design changes, certification, and Change Control Board (CCB) activities. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, program teams, and customers to resolve technical issues. Support Design Reviews, Design for Manufacturability/Cost, and product lifecycle activities. Identify failure modes and drive effective design improvements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering , or related field. 8+ years of relevant engineering experience. Experience in aerospace systems and electrical/mechanical/software system development. Proficiency with MBSE (Cameo or equivalent) and requirements tools such as DOORS . Knowledge of

ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-160, MIL-STD-810

, and systems engineering processes. MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape experience preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical presentation skills. Self-directed with ability to work independently and cross-functionally. If you are interested in this role, then please click
