This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and industrial automation, with a passion for driving efficiency and quality in fastener production. Additionally, this position includes monthly and yearly incentives to reward outstanding performance and dedication. Duties Lead projects related to the design, development, and enhancement of fastener products using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and other schematics tools. Utilize project scheduling techniques to ensure timely completion of engineering initiatives while managing resources effectively. Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to identify underlying problems and implement corrective actions through process engineering and troubleshooting. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding, welding, assembly line operations, and industrial automation systems such as robot programming and vision inspection systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, quality assurance, production operators, and suppliers to improve manufacturing workflows using Lean management principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Analyze engineering data to identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and quality enhancement aligned with lean manufacturing standards. Oversee factory experience projects involving assembly line setup, factory layout planning, schematics design, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and industrial engineering practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying Six Sigma tools and participating in quality improvement programs within the manufacturing environment. Lead team efforts in troubleshooting complex issues related to industrial automation systems or manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety standards while maintaining high standards of quality through vision inspection systems and process control measures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are preferred. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a factory setting with assembly line exposure. Strong knowledge of CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD; experience with schematics design is essential. Hands-on experience with process engineering techniques such as plastics injection molding, welding, robot programming, vision inspection systems, and industrial automation. Skilled in project management with the ability to schedule tasks effectively while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Expertise in root cause analysis methods for troubleshooting complex manufacturing issues. Familiarity with GD&T standards for precise engineering drawings and schematics interpretation. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams toward continuous improvement goals using lean management principles. Experience analyzing manufacturing data for process optimization and quality enhancement initiatives. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments including production, quality assurance, engineering design, and supply chain teams.
