RESPONSIBILITIES
System owner and engineering lead for Johnson Control Building Automation System (BAS) and Emerson Delta V Environmental Monitoring System (EMS). Directly responsible for system operation, maintenance, reliability, improvement, and software update. Lead the engineering of automation and controls on new and existing equipment. Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting and engineering support to BAS and EMS users. Manage BAS/EMS system for equipment/system improvement and change. Provide process control for parameters such as, temperature, pressure, flow, and pH. Provides automation and engineering support to critical utilities system/equipment, such as Water for Injection system, hot water boiler, chilled water system, clean compressed air, process gases, Air Handling Unit and waste neutralization system. Provide process control systems engineering and technical support to GMP manufacturing operations through commercialization. Provide technical support to process development, analytical and formulation development laboratory functions. Lead small capital / expense project, manage project budget, create schedule, provide deliverables, and complete project in a timely manner. Partner proactively with Manufacturing, Quality Control/Assurance, Process Development Labs, Facilities Engineering, IT, EH&S, Quality Engineering as well as other internal/external customers. Contribute to execution of FAT/SAT, start up, commissioning and qualification for system and equipment for new commercial building. Assist Validation in performing Installation/Operational qualification and Computer System Validation, as needed. Assist technicians in resolving problems and implement corrective action to prevent reoccurrences. Create and/or revise related Software Design Description and Standard Operating Procedures as needed for new/existing equipment. Manage external contractors/vendors and provide clear guidance to the team for technical solutions, repairs, improvement, and business processes. Create change control documents for implementing GMP changes. Generate deviation reports as needed. Participate in investigation, root cause analysis, risk & impact assessment, and corrective action. Follow safety and environmental rules for all project execution and change control. Participate in weekend on call program. Respond to alarm notifications.

QUALIFICATIONS - SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
In depth knowledge and understanding of facility and process automation solutions and best practices. Strong technical writing skills and experience authoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Software Design Descriptions (SDDs), etc. Experience developing and implementing integrated automation solutions using Emmerson Delta V software. Experience developing and implementing parameter monitoring, data historization, trend reporting, alarm monitoring and notification using OSI Pi software. Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Creative, self-motivated, eager to take on a wide variety of tasks and grow with evolving technology Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
8 plus years of facility and process automation experience Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a related field
