Team:
The Powder Bed Fusion manufacturing team develops, creates, and operates the most advanced additive manufacturing technologies in the world. This best-in-class team makes sure that the infrastructure, materials, tools, and equipment are in place for us to rapidly iterate and print. The Powder-Based manufacturing team was crucial to manufacturing Aeon-1 for first launch and now are developing and demonstrating groundbreaking technologies, design, and approaches for Aeon-R. About theRole:
As Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will directly manage and support a group of engineers who own specific assets and their processes. You will be responsible for elevating team performance, aligning ownership expectations, and ensuring cross-team clarity around handoffs, schedules, and quality goals. In parallel, you will serve as the technical and operational leader for process improvement projects that improve machine reliability, machine uptime, and hardware flow through the factory.About You:
BS Degree in Engineering (or relevant technical discipline) 5+ years of experience with Powder Bed Fusion/Additive Manufacturing engineering experience with 1+ years of technical leadership or project ownership experience. Demonstrated experience working with powder bed fusion (LPBF) in a production environment Experience owning or mentoring engineers Strong track record of delivering results across ambiguous and high-scope technical areas Excellent communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills Comfortable navigating between shop floor execution and cross-functional strategic planning Nice to haves, but not required: Familiarity with MES/QMS systems and process flow management Experience defining or scaling additive workflows from R D to production Applied experience with root cause investigations and corrective action systems Background working in ISO, AS9100, or other high-reliability environments At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
