Staff Manufacturing Engineer Onto Innovation is a leader in process control, combining global scale with an expanded portfolio of leading-edge technologies that include: 3D metrology spanning the chip from nanometer-scale transistors to micron-level die-interconnects; macro defect inspection of wafers and packages; metal interconnect composition; factory analytics; and lithography for advanced semiconductor packaging. Job Summary & Responsibilities The Staff Manufacturing NPI Engineer supports the execution of new product introductions through hands-on manufacturing support, rapid response to design changes, and strong technical ownership of assembly and integration activities. This role is ideal for engineers experienced in precision builds who thrive in fast-moving development environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support NPI execution for optical and metrology systems during engineering and pilot builds.
  • Execute and refine assembly, integration, and test processes.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, build travelers, and process flows.
  • Adapt quickly to late-stage design changes while maintaining build quality and schedule.
  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions during builds. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience supporting new product development in manufacturing

Compensation & Growth
    Base Salary Range:
    $112,000.00 - $168,000.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
