In this role, you will drive the design, analysis, and optimization of complex mechanical systems, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for performance, safety, and manufacturability. Responsibilities Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks. Develop comprehensive mechanical schematics, drawings, and 3D models for product development projects in accordance with industry standards Perform tolerance analysis and mechanical detail drawings to ensure precision manufacturing and assembly processes and perform complete design for manufacturability (DFM) reports and work with suppliers to review and qualify all parts and assemblies. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other physical testing simulations to validate design integrity under operational conditions Collaborate with cross-functional teams including industrial design and manufacturing engineers to integrate mechanical systems effectively Engage in root cause analysis for design-related issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize product performance and manufacturing efficiency Manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables through effective project management practices in an industrial or manufacturing setting and be comfortable and familiar with ISO standards 13485 and 9001 Support manufacturing by providing mechanical drafting, 3D modeling for product design, and technical guidance throughout production phases Apply principles of quantum engineering where applicable to enhance system functionalities Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development Strong proficiency in SolidWorks Expertise in tolerance analysis, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Solid understanding of machine design principles, schematics, mechanical drawings, and mechanical detail drawings Experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS) and simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink or LabVIEW for system validation Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, and control systems integration is advantageous Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards such as ASME codes & standards, and engineering product development lifecycle Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams Join us to be part of a forward-thinking organization where your expertise will drive innovation!
