Engineer I - NPD Department AMETEK Rosemead, CA Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $85,000 a year 11 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Mechanical design Bachelor of Science CAD design (engineering design task) Manufacturing facility experience Lean manufacturing Process engineering Full Job Description Launch Your Engineering Career in Advanced Manufacturing The entry-level Mechanical Engineer will report into the NPD Department to support the design, manufacture, and continuous improvement of high-reliability glass-to-metal seal (GTMS) products used in aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications. This position offers hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, materials engineering, hermetic sealing technology, and product development. Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in new product introduction, process validation, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, routings, work instructions, and drawings.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Operations, and Design Engineering teams.
  • Support manufacturing and production operations for hermetic sealing products. Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience (internships and co-op experience welcomed).
  • Proficient with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred
  • Exposure to manufacturing, machining, aerospace, or electronics packaging environments.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Lean Manufacturing, or statistical analysis methods.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce cost.
The successful must be able to identity appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
