Manufacturing Engineer

Move Forward with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in San Diego, CA. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will : Provide manufacturing support for Turbomachinery components manufacturing in Advanced Combustion Systems - Injectors Develop detailed parts and assembly manufacturing plans and process requirements/operation instructions. Lead production quality investigation, resolution, and improvement, using statistical tools, like Minitab (SPC & Cpk) analysis. Support new product development for manufacturability. Create remanufacturing/rework plans. Drive continuous process improvement. This is a full-time long-term temp, possible temp to hire opportunity.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm plus overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

Four years of manufacturing engineering experience. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline. Excellent communication, collaborative, initiative, and problem-solving skills. Willing to support production schedules and be able to perform with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and SharePoint Familiar with dimensioned drawings/operation instruction sheets Effective communication skills (written and verbal). Turbomachinery, Steel components manufacturing experiences; assembly & testing (preferred) 6 Sigma and Lean process training and project experiences (preferred) Working experiences with CMM (coordinate measuring machine), NDT (non-destructive testing), and solid modelling. (preferred) Knowledge and experience with Baan ERP.
