JOB SUMMARY
Provides full and complete Manufacturing Engineering support to production to facilitate the manufacturing of simple to highly complex Electro-mechanical products. Provides technical guidance to others within and outside the manufacturing department on an as required basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review new build opportunities for go/no go and identify if any new tooling is required. Review Gerber?s and create PCB panelization drawings. Generate digitization of files as needed. Generate labor time estimates for new opportunities. Create and/or update visual aids and process plans. Specify and order SMT stencils. Attend production readiness review meetings. Review and address all TAR?s. Solve technical production issues as they arise. Analyzes MCN?s to determine the most efficient way of introducing such changes into the production process. Support production (CCA, Cable & Box Build) as needed with programming and/or operation of production equipment. Assist in the maintenance and documentation of production equipment which includes: SMT Stencil printer, SPI, SMT placement machines, SMT reflow oven, AOI, X-Ray, Selective Solder, Wave Solder, PCB Depanelization Router, AMP K-Press, Labeling Systems, Conformal Coating, PCB wash systems, MicroVu. Assist in specifying new capital equipment needs and equipment facility requirements. Attend continuous improvement meetings and address action items in a timely manner. Other duties and projects may be assigned as business needs dictate. Team player willing to roll up sleeves and help other team members when necessary. Specialized Duties (per individual skill set) Design and 3D print and/or build jigs and fixtures that are required to support the manufacturing process. Perform high skill level rework as needed, such as BGA?s, QFN?s, Connectors, etc?
