Job Description

Job Description A large Aerospace and Defense customer in Insight Global's A&D portfolio is hiring for a mid to senior level Controls Engineer to join their Machine Connectivity team. This role will require some travel to other sites, there are 15 total. This person will sit out of their East Hartford, CT location when not traveling (30-40% travel requirement). This team interrogates the Controllers, which can have any PLC software in them (Fanuc, Siemens, AB, etc.) and at time adds lines of code for additional tags. There is also troubleshooting that occurs as this is all done on the manufacturing floor.
Compensation Range:
$45/hr to $60/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.   • 5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with PLC Programming software: Siemens, AB, Fanuc, or others
  • Strong experience with Kepware and Ignition automation software
  • Hands on machine troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working and communicating with software vendors
  • Must be able and willing to travel 30-40% annually within the United States
  • Electrical Engineer Bachelors Degree
  • PLC Certifications
  • Aerospace or Defense experience
