Job Description
Overview:

Position Summary:
AGC / Gar Kenyon is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to develop, improve, and sustain robust production processes. This role supports the daily pace of production by troubleshooting manufacturing issues, strengthening documentation, and clearly defining processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will also partner with the development team to help ensure new products are launched on schedule and designed for long-term production success through strong DFM and DFA practices Drive continuous improvement on the production floor using Lean principles and continuous improvement activities on production floor: improve processes, reduce waste, 5S. Ensure manufacturability of new products during production transfer process. Assist with creation of flow charts, PFMEA's and product control plans. Support daily cadence of production, through support of daily meetings, troubleshooting and ensuring strong process documentation. Develop detailed Work Instructions, compliant with product drawings and all specifications. Make MRB dispositions for discrepant materials and drive root cause analysis and resulting corrective actions. Create and update BOMS and routers. Provide engineering support to manufacturing processes for a variety formed metal, machined and composite "build to print" products. Support all levels of manufacturing, including but not limited to machining, deburring, laser cutting & marking, dot peening, secondary machining operations, outside operations, inspection, assembly, and test. Design and fabricate tooling and fixturing needed to support assembly and test of products. Serve as leader and mentor on the production floor fostering a culture of continuous improvement, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety.
Requirements:
BS or MS in Engineering with a minimum of (5) years of experience working in a dynamic high paced environment. Must possess strong mechanical troubleshooting ability Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques. Experience with Solidworks or equivalent CAD software Experience with ERP systems. Epicor preferred. Must possess strong data capture and analysis capabilities. Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities. Must be fluent in speaking and reading English. A basic knowledge of mechanics and a high mechanical aptitude are required to successfully perform the requirements of this role.
