Emerging Manufacturing Engineering Leadership Position Extrusion industry experience is a strong plus! About Our Client The company is a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of extrusion and converting equipment used across a wide range of industries, including packaging, medical, automotive, infrastructure, consumer products, and building materials. The company delivers advanced polymer processing solutions that help manufacturers improve productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency Job Description Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure successful implementation of designs, processes, and product improvements. Lead and mentor Manufacturing Engineers and other technical team members. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. Support manufacturing readiness for new products, engineering changes, and process improvements. Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, workflow, and production methods. Partner with design engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges. Develop and implement standardized manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and best practices. Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction. Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to quality, safety, and operational performance. Assist in strategic planning for future manufacturing engineering resources, capabilities, and organizational growth. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline. Progressive manufacturing engineering experience within a complex manufacturing environment. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience with direct reports preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process development, and production support. Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and quality functions. Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. Experience with capital equipment manufacturing, industrial machinery, or engineered-to-order products is highly desirable. Extrusion industry experience is a strong plus. What's on
