Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented entry level CAD Designer Engineer to support product development, technical documentation, and CAD workflow organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong Computer Assisted Design skills, strong Excel capabilities, and an interest in turning product design concepts into accurate, buildable product documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, update, and manage 3D CAD models and assemblies using different software tools like SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite package. Generate accurate 2D technical drawings with detail views, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing or installation notes. Maintain organized CAD files libraries using proper naming conventions, version control, and revision history practices. Support product development through design iterations, engineering review feedback, material considerations, and prototype release preparation. Create and maintain installation manuals, technical guides, assembly instructions, BOMs, drawing release packages, and internal standards. Use Excel and related tools to organize part lists, BOM data, process sheets, project trackers, cost inputs, and design change logs. Assist with CAD templates, drawing checklists, standard parts libraries, and back- end process documentation. Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, sales, project managers, and installers to ensure designs and documents are clear, accurate, and production- ready.
Required Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate technical drawings and documentation. Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members. Strong technical writing skills for manuals, standards, and internal reference materials. Proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite package, including modeling, assemblies, detail drawings, and configurations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data organization, BOM management, pivot tables, and task automation. Organized, process-minded approach to file management, documentation, and revision control.
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting manufacturing, installation, or product development teams. Familiarity with BOM workflows, drawing release packages, product standards, and CAD reference libraries. Proficiency in improving design process, documentation systems, and cross- team workflows.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
