Job Description
Job Description Summary Senior functional leader for advanced manufacturing engineers supporting machine head and drivetrain process readiness, manufacturing process innovation. The role works in close collaboration with Sourcing, Manufacturing Site Leadership, EHS, Quality, Digital Technology and Engineering Technology to achieve business goals. The position has significant input into priorities and operates with moderate autonomy, guided by established professional practices and policies and requiring a high level of operational judgment.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead a group of manufacturing engineers to execute productivity projects in alignment with the annual lean roadmap and mid-range business goals. Build a Center of Excellence for critical-to-quality processes. Promote a philosophy of productivity-driven innovation that also improves safety and quality. Drive innovation by benchmarking and adopting best practices and/or emerging technologies identified at trade shows and through industry organizations. Develop, share, and implement best practices across sites. Drive governance across sites for key manufacturing engineering processes, including ECO management, MOC management, and manufacturing work instruction development. Own and maintain universal practice documents. Ensure project management rigor through formal project planning, progress tracking, and reviews. Champion lean methodologies and tools in all aspects of the manufacturing engineering function. Build the advanced engineering leadership pipeline by continued development of junior and senior manufacturing engineering individual contributors. Change Management Governance Responsible for manufacturing governance of key change management processes, including: Management of Change (MOC) for process changes, layout changes, and new equipment introduction. Engineering Change Order (ECO) process for technology-driven changes. Tollgate (TG) process for new production introductions and transfer of work between sites and/or suppliers. Technical and Leadership Scope Develop specialized knowledge in discipline and act as a best-practice and quality resource. Maintain awareness of the latest technical developments and contribute to strategy and policy within the area of responsibility. Use sound judgment to solve moderately complex problems in operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering, leveraging technical experience and data analysis to support recommendations. Draw on multiple internal and selected external sources to make decisions and shape solutions. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and lead small to medium projects with moderate risk and resource requirements. Explain difficult or sensitive information clearly, build consensus, and apply developing persuasion skills to influence stakeholders on topics within the field. Required Qualifications Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and project management. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Established project management skills, including planning and execution. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects across functions. Ability to document, plan, and execute programs effectively. Desired Characteristics Master's degree in engineering, operations, or a related field. Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600.00 and $204,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.Bonus eligibility:
