Job Description

Growing Groves is leading a search to find the next Manufacturing Process Engineer with a background estimating/quoting and building travelers for gears and splines! Company and Position Summary The company is fairly new compared to most gear companies, but already has well-established business and market position. This is a growth role, not a replacement. Primary markets are aerospace/defense and adjacent high-precision environments like robotics, food and beverage, medical device, etc. The position will largely be focused on the gear cutting side of the business, not the lathe and mill side.

Indiana, USA [If you have experience and gears and prefer not to be in Indiana, please reach out to hear about other locations] Reports to: Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities Review prints and build travelers/routing information Work with Manufacturing Engineer on defining capabilities and approach Support SolidWorks modeling and layouts Partner with operations and quality departments Support vendor RFQs and 3rd party services Position Requirements 3-5 years of experience in chip cutting. Knowledge of gear cutting processes Strong understanding of GD&T Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and Excel. Ability to work 100% on-site at an air-conditioned/heated manufacturing facility with potential exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and industrial hazards. Position Preferences Engineering degree or equivalent experience Experience with ERP and KISSsoft and Solidworks/Inventor Knowledge of heat treat Ability to read and edit G/M code Familiarity with CAM Knowledge of various materials, cutting tools, work holding, cutting parameters Employee Compensation and Benefits This is a Salary Exempt position paying up to $120,000 based on experience.
