On-Site Summary of Position The Electrical Controls Engineer will support the design, integration, commissioning, and ongoing improvement of industrial automation and controls systems for a new advanced manufacturing facility. This hands-on engineering role will be responsible for developing and supporting electrical control systems used on automated and semi-automated production equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, control panels, sensors, drives, and industrial communication systems. Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related technical field. 3+ years of experience supporting industrial automation, manufacturing controls, or automated production systems. Hands-on experience programming, troubleshooting, or supporting PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment. Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, industrial automation systems, and electrical components. Experience with PLCs and HMIs, including troubleshooting and system integration. Direct support of automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment. Ability to manage engineering projects and work independently through equipment design, implementation, troubleshooting, and startup. Preferred Education & Experience Experience with automated assembly, production, or material-handling equipment. Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols. Experience with robotics, sensors, VFDs, servo drives, motion control, or other industrial automation technologies. Experience supporting new manufacturing facility startups, equipment installations, or plant expansions. Experience working with machine builders, automation integrators, and equipment vendors through design, installation, commissioning, and production startup.
