Develop Talent. Drive Project Success. We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide a talented team of design professionals supporting complex industrial projects. This role combines technical leadership, team development, project execution, resource planning, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality deliverables while meeting customer requirements, project schedules, and budget objectives. The successful candidate will serve as a key technical resource, partnering with engineering, project management, and cross-functional teams to support innovative solutions, strengthen design processes, and foster collaboration across multiple engineering locations. Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical design engineers supporting multiple concurrent projects. Manage engineering workload distribution and resource planning. Support employee development, coaching, training, and performance improvement initiatives. Promote collaboration and consistency across multiple engineering locations. Design & Technical Execution Oversee the development of detailed 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for engineered industrial equipment. Ensure engineering deliverables meet customer requirements, quality expectations, project schedules, and budget commitments. Serve as the technical authority for assigned projects and design activities. Support advanced mechanical design and problem-solving efforts throughout project execution. CAD & Engineering Systems Oversee administration, implementation, and optimization of: Autodesk Inventor Autodesk Vault AutoCAD Plant 3D Autodesk Construction Cloud Establish and maintain engineering standards, CAD procedures, work instructions, and best practices. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engineering software and data management tools. Project Execution & Collaboration Partner with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to align engineering deliverables with project goals. Monitor engineering schedules, workloads, milestones, and project progress. Identify and mitigate engineering risks to support successful execution. Support engineering estimates, scope planning, and resource forecasting. Continuous Improvement Utilize engineering and project data to identify opportunities for process improvement. Develop KPI reporting and performance metrics related to engineering execution. Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and workflows that improve productivity and quality. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in engineering software and design methodologies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in: Engineering Architecture Related Technical Discipline Minimum 3 years of engineering team leadership experience. Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering professionals.
Strong proficiency with:
Autodesk Inventor Autodesk Vault AutoCAD AutoCAD Plant 3D Autodesk Construction Cloud Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with workload planning, resource management, and project coordination. Preferred Qualifications Project-based engineering or EPC environment experience. Heavy industrial equipment design experience. Manufacturing or fabrication support experience. Field installation or site support experience. Experience with Navisworks. Exposure to E3D. Experience developing engineering standards and best practices. Data analysis and reporting experience.
