TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer

II - UI/UX

to support the design, development, and integration of next-generation marine electronics, including Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) and connected systems. Responsibilities Design and develop user interface software and connected system components for embedded products. Architect and develop frontend and backend software solutions. Collaborate with software, hardware, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new product features. Develop, test, and validate embedded software to ensure performance and reliability. Support hardware and software integration activities throughout the development lifecycle. Create and maintain software architecture, requirements, and technical documentation. Troubleshoot software and system integration issues and perform root cause analysis. Participate in project planning, design reviews, testing, and product release activities. Collaborate with international engineering teams and stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers and support software development best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience developing UI software for embedded systems, connected products, automotive, marine, or similar environments. Experience with software architecture and frontend/backend development. Strong proficiency with JavaScript and WebSocket technologies. Experience developing applications using React and component-based architectures. Proficiency with HTML5 Canvas, SVG graphics, and CSS. Experience with Python development and Python CAN tools. Knowledge of Nginx configuration and web application deployment. Familiarity with Docker and containerized development environments. Experience using GitHub or similar version control platforms. Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software integration. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with global engineering teams and international stakeholders. Background in marine electronics, automotive technology, industrial automation, or connected product development. Experience managing external development resources or vendors. Pay:

$115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
