Automation Project Engineer Imerys - Global Leader in Mineral-Based Specialty Solutions Imerys is seeking an experienced Automation Project Engineer to join our IT/OT Manufacturing Application Delivery team. This role is critical in driving the digital transformation of our manufacturing operations and breaking down barriers between IT and OT to deliver smart factory solutions. About the Role You will manage the delivery of manufacturing application and automation projects, from scoping and solution selection to implementation across our global sites. You will act as a key bridge between IT and Operations, ensuring projects deliver real business value while aligning with group standards and the Imerys Business Capability Model. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary interface between IT and plant operations, building strong relationships and educating operational teams on IT/OT processes. Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver strategic manufacturing projects (IIoT, data collection, Industrie 4.0, automation, and supervision applications).

Manage full project lifecycle:

scope definition, budgeting, planning, stakeholder coordination, and on-time delivery. Draft functional specifications, select solutions/partners, and roll out Imerys' industrial application portfolio. Ensure compliance with IT security, safety, environmental standards, and group policies. Provide Level 2/3 support during project transitions. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in industrial/automation projects. Strong background in OT solutions, automation, IIoT, industrial protocols, and manufacturing processes. Proven project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams. Good knowledge of application architecture and industrial IT. Willingness to travel ~25%.
