Job Description

OVERVIEW
A well-established company dominating the market in manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their plant located in Newnan, GA. The company fosters a positive work environment and is currently investing in new capital equipment. The selected candidate will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be responsible for designing manufacturing processes, analyzing workflow efficiency, and ensuring manufacturing goals are met. The position offers competitive benefits, bonus potential, and a 401k with a 100% match up to 5%. The typical work hours are 8-5, with the possibility of up to 45-50 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize 2D & 3D software like SolidWorks to design production tooling. Implement productivity enhancements for current production lines. Conduct root cause analysis of failures and recommend necessary changes. Design and implement production processes for new products and modifications to existing ones. Perform FMEA's on new and existing products to ensure quality standards. Review product designs for manufacturability and process optimization. Collaborate in cross functional teams to enhance productivity methods. Lead exercises in design of experiments, lean manufacturing, and other techniques. Lead design review meetings for new and existing products. Create work instructions, spare parts inventories, and other necessary documentation. Implement automation, robotics, and other systems to enhance production processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or equivalent experience. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (especially SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office. Experience in project management to oversee projects from start to finish. Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLCs. Background in heavy manufacturing as a manufacturing engineer. Industry experience with a preference for zinc or high pressure aluminum die casting, stamping, plating, or finishing. Desired experience with foundry operations. Authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship.
