$80,000-95,000 per year Full BenefitsLimited Relocation Assistance is Available Sterling Engineering is hiring a CNC Manufacturing Engineer for a well-established precision machining company with more than 70 years of manufacturing excellence. This is a great opportunity to join a growing engineering team that has recently invested in advanced CNC equipment, Swiss machining technology, robotics, automation, CAD/CAM programming, and CMM inspection systems. You'll play a critical role in shaping the future of the company's manufacturing engineering function while working on complex, high-precision components for demanding industries. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for high-volume production machiningSupport CAD/CAM programming and manufacturing process developmentProgram and support INDEX Swiss, CNC lathes, multi-spindle CNC machines, and similar turning equipmentDevelop machining strategies that improve productivity, quality, and cycle timesReview customer drawings, GD&T requirements, and engineering specificationsSelect tooling, establish cutting parameters, and develop tooling packagesCreate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, setup sheets, work instructions, and manufacturing documentationTroubleshoot CNC programming, tooling, setup, production, and quality issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and manufacturing performance
Qualifications:
Must have 5-10+ years of strong CNC programming experience in a production machining environmentMust have substantive experience with CAD/CAM software (Esprit or similar preferred)Needs to be able to read, edit, troubleshoot, and optimize G-code and M-code programsExperience programming INDEX Swiss, Swiss CNC, multi-spindle
CNC, CNC
