Job Description

Assembly Manufacturing Engineer Davenport, IA 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Overtime available as needed) Contract Opportunity $40-$43/hr We are seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to support loader cab assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working cross-functionally to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and manufacturing efficiency while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Lead and manage small to moderate capital projects from planning through implementation. Develop and maintain assembly layouts, labor standards, manufacturing methods, and process sequences. Analyze, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and technologies that improve operational performance. Provide troubleshooting and day-to-day manufacturing support for assembly operations. Coordinate activities with suppliers and subcontractors while serving as a primary point of contact. Support engineering evaluations, testing, inspections, and implementation activities. Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements through established change management practices. Support project schedules, engineering documentation, manufacturing standards, and reporting requirements. Develop cost reduction, quality improvement, safety enhancement, and ergonomic improvement initiatives for assembly operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent related experience. 1+ years of experience supporting manufacturing processes, quality systems, tooling, preventative maintenance, or facilities. Experience with engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems. Experience leading and implementing projects in a manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators, engineers, leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. Self-motivated with the ability to execute projects with minimal supervision.
