Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for aManufacturing Engineer- Product Development,to join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Mt. Pleasant, IA.We are the nation's leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. Headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, with distribution around the world, our innovative approach is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customers' needs.
The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic,Heatilator, and more.
This position has core hours of Monday through Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:20PM.

Key Responsibilities
Partners in the execution of manufacturing readiness for new product launches, supporting the business and ensuring alignment across process, equipment, and production requirements.
Builds robust, scalable processes and material product costing to optimize production capability and protect margin at launch.
Champions ergonomic innovation within process design, reducing risk while improving operator productivity and ease of use.
Implements mistake-proofing and quality control strategies at the source, minimizing variation and ensuring first-pass yield success.
Accelerates launch performance through automation and process improvement projects, driving efficiency gains.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree inmanufacturingengineeringor related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years of related experience
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, Project, Outlook and AutoCAD
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Skills and Abilities
Must be organized, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasksand projects.
Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change.
Proven project leadership
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstratedability to solve complex problemsandthinkstrategically
Work with cross functional teams and leaders
Ability to exceed customerexpectations
Work Environment
Primarily in a Manufacturing facility with split focus between an office environment and the production floor.
Periodic work outside core business hours may be required during key business projects.
