Job Description
Overview Mt Pleasant Dental Associates is a thriving, patient‑centered private practice seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate General Dentist to join our growing team. You'll step into a growing practice with excellent clinical support and the autonomy to practice the way you were trained. We are open to full‑time or part‑time candidates. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans. Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Utilize advanced dental technology including digital radiography to diagnose conditions accurately. Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations. Document all patient interactions meticulously in electronic health records using eForms, Eaglesoft, and Florida Probe. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care to promote long-term oral health. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and deliver seamless patient care. Skills and Qualifications Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental documentation standards. Experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong background in pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (dental fabrication), and oral surgery procedures. Knowledge of infection control practices, sterilization techniques, and aseptic procedures within a dental setting. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and empathetically to diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry and general healthcare practices.
