Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer II specializing in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and Controls to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop, and optimize automation systems that enhance manufacturing processes. You will be instrumental in integrating robotics, control systems, and lean manufacturing principles to ensure high-quality production and operational excellence. Duties Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC control systems for manufacturing equipment using industry-standard controllers such as Fanuc and distributed control systems. Program and optimize robotics including Fanuc robots and other automation equipment to improve efficiency and safety. Read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support system installation, upgrades, and repairs. Conduct root cause analysis on control system failures to implement effective corrective actions. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate tooling, machining processes, and vision inspection systems into automated workflows. Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design or modify control panels, schematics, or mechanical components as needed. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by streamlining controls processes and reducing waste through continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with relevant experience in manufacturing controls. Proven experience programming PLCs with a focus on Allen-Bradley or similar platforms; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of robotics programming, especially Fanuc robots and vision inspection systems. Mechanical knowledge including schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, tooling setup, and machining processes. Experience working with Schematics, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design tools for system layout and modifications. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), root cause analysis techniques, and safety standards. Ability to troubleshoot complex control issues using distributed control systems (DCS) and other automation platforms. $67,950.00 - $113,400.00 per year
