Job Description

Summary Parker has several areas on the production floor which a candidate may be hired into depending on their experience, knowledge, and physical capabilities. Parker is hiring for 2nd (3pm
  • 11 pm) and 3rd (11 pm
  • 7 am) shift. Candidates can give their preference during the interview however hiring is based on needs pertaining to each shift. This position is a Monday
  • Friday, 40-hour, on-site role.
Essential Functions Set up and monitor machines Potentially monitor multiple machines as they are running to ensure a quality product Identify and eliminate known defects. Prioritize job duties based on information obtained from Work Leader/Value Stream Team Leader and/or set-up sheet. Communicate with Material Handler when needing supplies. Communicate with Maintenance when needed. Monitor the flow of production and check the schedule (via cards or Made to Order) to know what the current run is and what the future run(s) will be. Organize and process product for longevity of material Proof test product with high-pressure water system according to product specification Correctly fill out required paperwork daily Always maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition Work overtime hours based on production needs Department Specific/Non-Essential Functions Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards and procedures and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner Maintain production schedules Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S Other duties may be assigned at a later time
Minimum Requirements Experience:
Production work preferred but not required
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills Basic knowledge and use of hand tools Sound decision making skills Good math, reading, writing skills Demonstrate mechanical aptitude Strong troubleshooting skills
Skills/competencies:
Basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Other skills: Ability to work well in a team environment
Assessment:
Employee must pass pre-employment screening.
Organizational Scope Reports to:
Value Stream Team Lead Work closely with maintenance to resolve issues with equipment
Working Conditions Required PPE:
Safety glasses and hearing protection Steel toed shoes Kevlar gloves Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, carrying, stooping, bending, reaching and lifting are done on a frequent basis.
