Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location:
Sandpoint, ID (
Relocation:
$25K - $35K flat payment with the first paycheck, depending on family size) Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Fulltime / Direct hire
Description:
  • Solve aircraft manufacturing and build problems directly with mechanics.
What You'll Own:
  • Improve manufacturing methods, sequencing, ergonomics, work content and production flow.
  • Support fabrication, subassembly and final assembly improvements.
  • Perform CAD, drawing, DFM and GD&T analysis.
  • Create manufacturing drawings and models meeting fit, form and function requirements.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Reduce labor hours, rework and bottlenecks through improved methods and tooling.
  • Manage ERP alignment, eBOM/mBOM reconciliation and manufacturing routings.
  • Partner with engineering when manufacturing documentation cannot resolve production issues.
What You Bring:
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 10+ years in aerospace.
  • Direct aircraft manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Strong CAD, drawing interpretation, GD&T and DFM experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of machining, sheet metal, welding, composites and mechanical/electrical assembly.
  • Experience with ERP systems and engineering/manufacturing BOMs.
  • Root-cause investigation, corrective action and Lean manufacturing experience.
  • General aviation or low-rate, high-mix aerospace experience is highly valued.
  • AS9100 or FAA/FAR Part 23 manufacturing exposure is a strong advantage.
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
