DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

) Design, develop, and improve new and existing consumer products by applying engineering principles and market-driven analysis; perform market research and analyze customer needs, product performance data, and industry trends to support new product development initiatives; evaluate existing products and processes to identify areas for improvement and update technical documentation accordingly; create and refine product designs using CAD tools, including 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials; perform engineering analyses to assess product functionality, reliability, and compliance with applicable industry standards; develop and test prototypes, analyze results, and implement design modifications to address performance issues and production constraints; collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support manufacturing feasibility, quality control, and production integration; establish and monitor quality assurance criteria and safety guidelines; and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to present design concepts, obtain feedback, and support continuous product improvement initiatives. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering and 24 months of full-time experience in the job required. $74,298 per year. M-F, 40 hrs./wk.
