On-site Position Overview Summit Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer for a growing precision manufacturing operation in Bloomingdale, Illinois. This position will play a key role in developing, implementing, and improving quality and manufacturing processes throughout the production lifecycle—from incoming materials through finished product. The ideal candidate will bring 5-7+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment and strong working knowledge of quality systems and methodologies including ISO 9001, APQP, SPC, FMEA, CAPA/corrective action, root cause analysis, process capability, and GD&T . Candidates coming from sheet metal fabrication, precision machining, CNC manufacturing, stamping, automotive components, aerospace, or similar engineered-product manufacturing environments are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Develop, document, and implement methods for process control, SPC, testing, and inspection . Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to quality, efficiency, and process capability. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to identify and permanently resolve quality issues. Facilitate CAPA meetings and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed in a timely manner. Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities supporting product and process validation and verification. Develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting tools. Conduct internal quality-system audits . Support and maintain compliance with

Quality Systems and audit requirements . Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to prevent recurring quality problems. Utilize quality and engineering tools including FMEA/PFMEA, SPC, DOE, DFM, GD&T, process capability, and Six Sigma methodologies . Participate in failure analysis and product disposition activities as a member of the Material Review Board. Analyze historical quality and manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. Manage quality-related projects while ensuring timelines, resources, communication, and deliverables remain on track. Develop and provide quality-related employee training, including blueprint-reading instruction. Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and other departments.
Required / Preferred
Qualifications 5-7+ years of recent Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling . Strong knowledge of

Quality Systems and associated audit requirements. Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies .
