Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline Position Overview The Assembly Manufacturing Engineer will provide manufacturing engineering support and troubleshooting for current operations within the Front-End Equipment and Cab business unit. This role will work primarily on the shop floor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production, improve processes, and resolve manufacturing issues. Key Responsibilities Provide Assembly Manufacturing Engineering support and troubleshooting for current production operations. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects focused on: Safety and ergonomics Process quality Manufacturing efficiency Establish Sequence of Events (SOE), work center layouts, torque tools, assembly fixturing, and Operator Methods Sheets (OMS). Work with SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to perform engineering functions and develop manufacturing process controls. Support daily production activities and ensure production goals are met. Work effectively with production teams and other cross-functional stakeholders. Spend a significant majority of the workday in a shop floor environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Experience in one or more related engineering areas, such as: Industrial Engineering Reliability Engineering Design Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Quality Engineering Self-starter with the ability to independently manage and execute multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving mindset with a bias toward taking action. Experience using engineering tools, systems, and databases. Ability to consistently arrive on time and support production operations until daily goals are met. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of manufacturing processes and experience working in a production environment. Experience with shop floor documentation, including SOE, Labor Standards, and OMS. Experience working in a union environment. Experience using MES systems for process controls. Experience with smart tooling such as Atlas Copco, IR, Panasonic, or similar systems. Experience with emerging manufacturing technologies, including CVML, digital tools, and process automation. Experience with line and process design. Knowledge of material presentation, cycles of imbalance, and visual management tools. Work Environment & Safety Requirements Onsite from Day 1. Primarily 1st Shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Must be available to work off-shifts and overtime as business needs require. Significant time will be spent working directly on the shop floor. Must follow all required safety procedures and wear required PPE, including: Bump cap Face mask, if applicable Ear plugs Safety glasses Gloves Metatarsal boots Metatarsal boots are required on the first day.
