Job Description

One of our manufacturing clients is seeking an experienced and results-driven Design Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations at their facility in Elgin, IL.
Pay Rate:
$140k - $160k
Shift:
Days Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance development Oversee engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met Support product design, development, and manufacturing process improvements Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to optimize operations and resolve technical challenges Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment 3+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing engineering teams Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, and continuous improvement methodologies Proficiency with CAD software, engineering documentation, and project management tools You should be proficient in: CAD Software
