A Manufacturing Engineer uses technology and engineering to help companies and organizations manufacture products with efficient use of time, resources, and energy.
Direct Hire Key Responsibilities Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for fabrication, welding, machining, and final assembly. Collaborate with Product Engineering to provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) recommendations. Create and implement engineering changes, manufacturing BOMs, routings, and work instructions. Conduct time studies and establish standard work to improve throughput and labor efficiency. Support production with shop floor troubleshooting and process validation. Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Coordinate Production Process Validation (PPV) and Production Trial Runs (PTR). Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods. Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste and improve workflow. Support automation and continuous improvement projects. Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Production teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in heavy equipment, trailer, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, automotive, or similar heavy manufacturing environments.

Manufacturing process improvement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Welding and fabrication processes Structural steel and plate fabrication Time studies and labor standards Lean Manufacturing PFMEA Engineering Change (EC) processes Manufacturing BOMs and routings Ability to interpret 2D drawings and 3D CAD models. Experience supporting shop floor manufacturing operations. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with automation projects. Knowledge of GD&T and ASME standards. Experience with welding fixtures and tooling design. Experience in CNC machining processes. Familiarity with Acumatica ERP is a plus.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
