Manufacturing Engineer Overview:

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in automated coating processes to support high-volume manufacturing operations. This role will lead equipment installation, process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives while managing capital projects from concept through implementation. Key Responsibilities Launch, commission, and optimize automated coating lines and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve reliability and performance. Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and work cells. Manage capital equipment projects, including vendor selection, procurement, installation, and startup. Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, productivity, and throughput. Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and operating procedures. Qualifications 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience. Hands-on experience with coating technologies such as powder coating, E-coating, electroplating, or dielectric coating. Experience supporting welding, machining, fabrication, brazing, forming, or assembly operations. Proven project management and capital equipment experience. Strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement skills. Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred. APQP experience and high-volume manufacturing are a plus. Environment Hands-on role in a high-volume manufacturing setting, working closely with production teams, automated equipment, and process improvement initiatives. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streamwood, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
