Primary Function Leads the development and design of enhanced products, driving technical excellence and strategic alignment with business goals. Applies initiative, creativity, and advanced problem-solving skills to deliver impactful solutions while exercising sound independent judgment to meet departmental and organizational objectives.. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Conceives and develops product design improvements and enhancements. Defines product concepts, specifications, timelines, and development plans. Prepares and delivers technical and project design reviews to internal teams and customers. Coordinates design implementation across all manufacturing processes. Develops catalog specifications and technical documentation. Collaborates with Supply Chain to evaluate and select vendor-supplied components. Partners with Sales, Marketing, and customers to ensure product solutions meet expectations and requirements. Works with Process Engineering to improve manufacturability and support continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborates with Quality Engineering to customer quality concerns through product re-designs, tolerance stack-up analysis, and driving CPAR's (Corrective, Preventative Action Requests) to closure. Investigates, prepares, and implements engineering change notices (ECNs). Identifies and drives VAVE projects relating to cost reductions, supplier changes, and re-designs due to quality issues. Reviews technical developments and highlights relevant design concepts, products, or materials applicable to current offerings. Provides technical consultation to internal teams, customers, and distributors. Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally to support business needs (5-10%) Education and/or
