Job Description
Position Overview:
A Process Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture complex sheet metal fabrications and complex machined assemblies for the aerospace and land-based industries. Please note that we are seeking a senior team member with at least 7 years of aerospace engineering experience.Essential Job Functions:
Perform the following duties as required: Develop written processes in accordance with customer-supplied drawings to produce end product that meets blueprint and quality requirements Work with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to identify needs for process improvements and provide engineering solutions to identified problems Responsible for product life cycle from PO receipt until the shipment of end product. This includes bill of material creation, tooling development, creating and maintaining shop routings and operation sheets, providing shop technical support through the development and production cycle while maintaining quality requirements. When necessary, provide interim maintenance to already developed product Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers, relaying technical information and providing program management support Follow quality system procedures as requiredRequirements:
Four-year engineering degree or equivalent Seven years minimum of relevant aerospace engineering experience is required. Tool design experience would be beneficial, but is not required The ideal candidate must have a strong background in blueprint reading, GD&T, and specification interpretation Must possess either 3D (Siemens NX) or AutoCAD experience Must possess knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Skills & Knowledge:
Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines Strong organization, teamwork, project management, and communication abilities Works well individually or in a group setting across various functions Successfully presents technical information Knowledge of PPAP or other processes related to product introduction Knowledge of ERP/MRP software Knowledge of measurement tools and methods (calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, CMM, etc.)NOTE:
